Description:
DDOT in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA), initiated this project to provide multi-modal transportation improvements in the East-West Corridor between Union Station and Georgetown.
Hayat Brown’s Role:
Supported the Environmental Assessment (EA), which considered alternative approaches to extending the existing streetcar line and evaluated the environmental and cultural effects of the proposed improvements. The EA was conducted in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (NHPA).
