Description:
The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education (DME) developed the DC Public Education Master Facilities Plan (MFP) to provide the city, school leaders, stakeholders, and the community with the information needed to support current and future school facilities planning in Washington, DC. In order to fulfill this mandate, the Walton Family Foundation and Education Forward DC required Facility Condition Assessments (FCA) for 49 Charter schools to update capital needs over the next ten years.
Hayat Brown’s Role:
Conducted comprehensive FCAs in accordance with industry standards (ASTM E2018-08 and E2018-15) including architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical field surveys and assessments of internal and external building systems and site components for all 49 Charter Schools.
